Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, will be hosting a cross-party event in Westminster called a ‘Taste of Wales’ to highlight the truly fantastic businesses in the country that produce the very best food and drink in the UK.

The event, to be co-hosted with Fay Jones MP and Ben Lake MP, will take place in the Houses of Parliament on the 24th October 2023. The location will be just as spectacular as the produce on show as it will be situated in an annex of the historical Westminster Hall which dates back to the 11th century.

‘Taste of Wales’ will celebrate and promote the very best of food and drink produced in Wales. There will be gin and wine producers, ethical coffee roasters and cheesemakers. As well as getting a flavour of what Wales has to offer, both the Welsh Secretary and the Shadow Secretary of State for Wales, Jo Stevens MP, will be delivering remarks on why we should all be proud of the food and drink industry in Wales.

Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, said:

Not only have we secured Wales office ministers attendance to show off our fantastic food and drink, the Food and Drink Federation and the Department for Business and Trade will also be on hand to offer support and guidance for Welsh businesses, including on how they can boost their exports.”
