Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, is once again organising a bus trip to Parliament for December. This is the first time this has been able to be organised since before the pandemic in 2019.

The trip, which costs £30 per person, will depart on Tuesday 5th December after picking residents up from Maesteg at 5.50am and Pencoed at 6.30am.

The journey will end at Parliament where those attending will be treated to a tour of one of Britain’s most historic buildings and get to take part in a question-and-answer session with Mr Elmore to discuss more about the building, how law is made and what being an MP is like.

There will be plenty of time for more than just a tour of one of the oldest medieval halls left standing in Europe! Those who join the trip will also have time to explore London just in time for the Christmas shopping season and see the brilliant decorations and illuminations that will festoon places like Regents Street and Oxford Street.

Those wishing to join should email chris.elmore.mp@parliament.uk and state how many tickets they would like to purchase for the trip. Spaces are limited and will be issued on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, said:

“The coach trip down to London was always a highlight of the calendar and it was very sad when we had to put it on pause to keep everyone safe over the pandemic. It’s fantastic that we can now restart this fabulous excursion just in time for Christmas.

Now, I understand Christmas is a long way off but you can never be too prepared! If you have ever been interested in how Parliament works or the architecture that makes up this brilliant building this is the trip for you. And for those who aren’t too keen on Erskine May you can enjoy some retail therapy.

I’m looking forward to welcoming residents from the tour to Parliament. So please do email me to book you place before they all go.”
