Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, has launched his Summer Survey to find out what constituents think of the constituency and how communities can benefit going forward.
The Summer Survey is timely as it is also a chance for constituents to share how the pandemic has affected them. Be it difficulties with securing much needed services whilst social distancing or finding new ways to move around the area, Chris wants to know.
The Summer Survey will run from 26 July 2021 until 31 August 2021.
The information gathered will support Chris in being able to steer services and investment towards what constituents want. This listening exercise will focus on the following areas:
- Impacts of Covid-19 on Ogmore;
- Investment and employment;
- Digital connectivity and inclusion; and
- Community funding
Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, said:
“We all know that the last year has been tough. That is why I’m asking constituents to take part in my Summer Survey. It’s vital that decision makers have views from all parts of their communities. All too often we see decisions being made despite the wishes of local people and not in conjunction with.
“I hope that as many people as possible will take part in my survey. The UK Government needs to know what the impact of their decisions has had on Ogmore residents and what way to achieve this than through a survey of your views. Using this information, I will be able to improve how I work with you and hold the UK Government to account.
“My survey has been designed to cover a large selection of questions: from Covid-19 to community funding. It’s my hope that everyone shares these questionnaires to friends and family so we get a brilliant broad sweep of views. This survey compliments my recent work – such as the funding advice day – and regular advice surgeries. So please, take part in Ogmore’s Summer Survey so we can build a better community together.”
