Ogmore MP, Chris Elmore has announced the winners of his 2020 Christmas Card competition.

This year’s winning design of Rudolf in the snow was designed by 10-year-old Mia from St Patrick and St Mary’s Catholic Primary School. Runners up were Tilly Davies, aged 15, from Pencoed Comprehensive, and Libby Morris, aged 9, from Ysgol Cynwyd Sant.

Chris Elmore MP said:

“I want to thank everyone who sent their designs in – we’ve had some fantastic artistic entries and it was very hard to choose a winner! Every year, the team and I are blown away by the colours, creativity and kindness shown in the entries – and this year was no different.

“I hope that everyone enjoyed designing their cards.  I’m sure there will be some very lucky family and friends who get to enjoy some more hand-drawn cards this year – some of the best presents are certainly those that we spend time creating ourselves!”

This year’s competition was sponsored by Wales & West Housing Group.

Anne Hinchey, Wales & West Housing Group Chief Executive, said:

“We are pleased to sponsor this annual Ogmore schools Christmas card competition.

“It is a really positive way to end a difficult year with a community project that showcases the creative talents of primary and secondary school children across the area. Well done to all the winners, you have helped to add Christmas cheer to those people who will receive the cards.”
