Local MP and MS for Ogmore, Chris Elmore and Huw Irranca-Davies are inviting local clubs, charities and community groups to attend their fifth annual Funding Advice Day on Friday 2nd July.
This year’s advice day will be going virtual, but a wide range of funding providers and experts will still be able to provide constituents with information on potential funding opportunities and what support is available
Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, said:
“Funding Advice Day has now reached its fifth year, and after a year where so many charities and clubs have struggled financially due to the pandemic it is more important than ever that local residents are aware of all the funding opportunities that are available to them.
“Even though it is necessary for this event to go virtual this year, there will still be a fantastic range of funding providers and support organisations attending.
“I am keen to help bring as many new community funding opportunities to the attention of constituents as possible. Last year places filled up extremely quickly, so I’d encourage anyone who is a part of a local club, charity or community group in Ogmore currently looking for funding to register to secure a place today!”
Huw Irranca-Davies, MS for Ogmore said:
“Our previous Funding Advice events have grown year on year, helping to bring more and more funding into our communities.
This year’s (virtual) event is more important than ever after a difficult year of restrictions and it’s important that organisations and community groups across Ogmore are aware of the many possible funding sources.
If you are aren’t able to attend this year’s event but are part of a club or group looking for funding, please get in touch with and we’ll be sure to get a copy of this year’s funding pack sent out to you.”
Registration is completely free of charge, and residents can sign up by calling 01656 860034 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
